hypothetically, you could hire a low skilled handyman with high potential with a salary of 15 and later have the same handy man with maximum skills but with like 80 Gold Salary. Level 4 is where the real challenge begins, and it really requires the player to plan and execute at a higher level.Īs for levels, levelled up staff work faster, and ask for less pay raises. There are other benefits - bartenders and maidens level up on a steady basis (I will explain benefits of levels below) and less puke.Īs for customers getting swarmed at one part of the tavern, the flow of the guests is what makes the tavern management intricate - it really is the only delicate gameplay of the game. This part is still to be balanced as I personally feel that the reseach does not reward players as much as it takes to do it. Mead improvements and improvements: They allow for higher prices to be set, and guests will start to tip if they like food/drink. So going from 2.4 to 1.4 is pretty much expected if your tavern hasn't improved. I feel that there should be more indications in game to point this out (there is a little text at the bottom of the report, but nobody reads them :D). Inspection results for the first six months are quite lenient - giving early inspections a breathing room for players. I don't usually like to explain how the game works, as I believe finding out what does what is part of the experience, but since we are in Early Access, and the game is not fully ready to host the best experience, I will try to do the unthinkable - explaining :D hahaha! Hello Darkiger! Firstly, thanks for supporting the game! If you have any tips or if I missed something, I would be glad to know it I have been starting over this level 4 more than 10 times and still can't manage to improve money and reputation. how to manage the sudden flood of customers in your tavern ? I tried to increase the prices but the only answer was a loss of reputation what does a level up from our workers really mean ? Mine are levelling up but I don't feel they work better, they just cost me more the real effect from the objects (piano, stage, plants, chesstable, the quoting system of the Lord, library, fire placeholder, etc.) Ok this is an early access, but still confused with many things: they all want to eat and wait for a table overcrowing the tavern, and when I build enough tables and seats they start wanting to drink. They train a few times and then no one enters the room anymore (I did NOT change the prices) they need a training room, I build a training room. I improved 2 foods to level 2 and then allowed me to increase the price from 30 to 35 or 40 and my reputation went down almost at once. why should we work on this ? This doesn't change the behaviour of the customers and it costs a lot of time and money (included the space for the room) sometimes my mead is quoted 2.3 and then 3.0 to go down to 1.6. I can add whatever I want, I don't go over 1.4 he comes and quote my interior tavern 2.4, then, changing nothing, he comes back and point me a 1.0. I went through the 3 first levels pretty easy but level 4 is messy.įirst the Lord coming to inspect the tavern : Actually I am really confused with Tavern Tycoon. So I don't reaaly mind if it stays as it is.I get use to play Tycoon games and I like them. Also when I change something I make it in smaller pieces and observe the effects. If the training room is not available they will wait for the other training to finish.Ħ. You select which course your staff will take and they will go to a free training room. There you can change the info tab to training tab. If you select a staff you will have an info window in the bottom right of your screen. So the price you set is minimum price for the minimum room which is 3x4.ĥ. I am not sure about the numbers, but if you make the base price 400 for 3x4 room then quest will pay 500 for 3x5 room. I think game determines bigger room prices according to your price which is the base price for the rooms. Build another one of the same setup if not enough.Ĥ. This one is also sufficient enough for most of the time. Again not sure about quest prefferrence but I build the biggest equipment just one and two of the other two. If I see it is not enough, I build another room with the same setup.ģ. This setup was sufficient for most of the time. I am not sure which is preferred more but I normally build 2 desks and 1 stage in one room.
